Gulab Bai Yadav Smriti Trust, Borawan was founded with the noble vision and inspiration of Late Honorable Shri Subhash Yadav, Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and the principal trustee of the Trust.
A visionary leader and social reformer, Shri Yadav devoted his life to the progress of society through his remarkable contributions in Agriculture, Horticulture, Co-operative Movements, Panchayati Raj, Education, and Social Welfare. His deep commitment to improving the quality of education and empowering communities continues to guide the Trust’s mission. Shri Yadav believed that just as precious treasures are brought forth from the depths of the ocean and beautiful flowers bloom only when nurtured with care, the true potential of young minds can be realized through quality education and proper training.
Guided by this philosophy, the Trust began its academic journey by introducing the B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) program in 2002. This foundational course marked the beginning of the institution’s commitment to teacher education and academic excellence. In 2006, the college introduced the M.Ed. (Master of Education) program, strengthening its role as an advanced centre for teacher training and educational research. In alignment with evolving educational needs and increasing interest in behavioural sciences, the college launched the B.A. (Psychology) program in 2025. This course aims to provide students with foundational knowledge in psychology and prepare them for careers in mental health, education, counselling, and research.

Ed. postgraduate students can pursue further studies like M. Phil., Ph. D.

The scope is broad, encompassing roles like primary, secondary, and higher secondary school teacher, special education teacher, and educational administrator. Beyond traditional teaching, B.Ed. graduates can work as curriculum developers, educational consultants, content writers, or pursue further studies like Master of Education (M.Ed.) or Ph. A 3-year undergraduate degree focused on the scientific study of the human mind and behaviour. The scope is broad, with career opportunities in human resources, counseling, marketing, and education, and the degree can serve as a foundation for further studies in specialized areas like clinical or industrial psychology. The B. A. (Psychology) students cam pursue PG degrees, B. Ed. or Ph. D.
A Ph.D. in Education is the highest academic degree in the field. It is research-intensive and designed for individuals who wish to contribute new knowledge to education through original research. The program involves coursework, research methodology training, and a report of study undertaken in the form of Thesis. At present the research center for Ph. D. Course is under the process of Shifting of Affiliation from Devi Ahilya University Indore to Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University, Khargone.
The institution has three hostels. Separate hostels for boys and girls each with all modern facilities, for boarding and other recreational activities for multifaceted development of students.
