Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)

1. Aim of SGRC

• A fair and transparent system for resolving students’ complaints.
• A safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Timely and unbiased handling of all academic and non-academic grievances.

2. Functions of SGRC

• Receive and review grievances submitted by students.
• Conduct inquiries by hearing both sides.
• Recommend corrective actions or solutions.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect students from victimization.
• Maintain records of all grievances and their disposal.

3. Types of Grievances Handled

• Academic issues (evaluation, attendance, timetable, exams).
• Fee-related concerns.
• Infrastructure and facilities (classrooms, labs, sports, sanitation).
• Discipline issues or unfair treatment.
• Harassment, discrimination, bullying.
• Any issue affecting student welfare.

4. Grievance Redressal Time-Frame

The SGRC is expected to handle the grievance and submit a report with recommendations to the competent authority of the institution within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the complaint.
